Close Up Photos Need Long Bellows January 27 2014, 0 Comments

I'm getting reading to make some close up 8x10 tintypes of small objects.  To fill the frame and maintain focus you need a long bellow extension on a view camera.  I purchased this camera last summer for just that purpose. This camera was made in the 1950's I'm guessing, but I'm using a newer contemporary lens, a 240mm f 5.6.   - Gregory Bleck Tintypes / Photographic Artist Madison, WI

I originally wanted to make this tintype a month ago but I came down with a nasty upper respiratory infection and couldn't work with the chemistry without irritating my lungs; I had gathered these little irregular pears during my morning walks in Madison, Wisconsin along the shores of Lake Monona. Luckily they didn’t deteriorate during their stay in my small studio refrigerator where I keep my film.  - Gregory Bleck - Tintypesist / Photographic Artist, Madison, Wisconsin
